Photo & Media Release Policy
Cowlitz County Habitat for Humanity

Cowlitz County Habitat for Humanity frequently documents our work through photography and video to help share our mission, highlight volunteers, and showcase the impact of community support.
By participating in events, volunteer opportunities, builds, or other activities organized by Cowlitz County Habitat for Humanity, participants acknowledge and agree that photographs, video recordings, or other media may be taken during these activities.
Use of Media
Photographs, video recordings, and other media captured during Habitat activities may be used for purposes including:
Website content
Social media posts
Marketing and promotional materials
Educational materials
News releases and publications
Annual reports and fundraising materials
These materials may be used in both digital and print formats.
Consent
By attending or participating in Habitat activities, individuals grant Cowlitz County Habitat for Humanity permission to use their likeness in photographs or video recordings without compensation. This permission includes the right to edit, publish, and distribute media for nonprofit promotional purposes.
Minors
When minors participate in Habitat activities, we may request consent from a parent or legal guardian prior to using identifiable photographs or video footage.
Opt-Out Requests
Individuals who prefer not to appear in photographs or video recordings should notify a staff member or event coordinator at the time of the event whenever possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate these requests.
